"Megumi is an exceptionally talented young violinist. Since 2006 she has regularly given recitals here in the chapel at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Fulham Road to the delight of patients, staff and visitors. She is extremely personable and very easy to work with. She is unfailingly reliable and a good communicator. She is flexible and always insures that her performance is completely appropriate to both the space and her audience.

I commend her to you most warmly"

"Megumi has played for us here 3 times, as part of our programme of quarterly fund-raising concerts. Each time has been a truly memorable occasion, her playing constantly increasing in maturity and confidence, enriched by a remarkable depth of understanding and feeling. On this last occasion she had the audience eating out of her hand.

There is nothing superficial, or un-necessarily showy, about Megumi’s playing. It strives for honesty and truth, as if the music is playing her, not the other way around.

Megumi draws an audience in, with stories and factual material about herself and the material she is playing, allowing them to feel a part of the occasion. She takes them inside the processes that go into making a performance, touching their feelings and understanding.

The warmth and inclusiveness of her performance and presence is infectious, complementing and balancing her delightfully varied, familiar yet challenging programmes. Megumi herself seems transformed by the activity of playing, her usual modest, vulnerable character, becoming powerfully confident as she plays and is played."
